The Mount Rushmore of Prophecy

Commentators, writers, preachers over the years have called Daniel chapter 9 many things; The Taj Mahal of prophecy, The Eiffel Tower of prophecy, Mount Everest and so on- you get the point. But what can be overlooked on that peak of prophecy is how Daniel got there. The base camp of spiritual growth; Scripture, Fasting, Prayer. 

The prayer of chapter 9 gives us access to the prophecy and reminds us that God does hear our prayers and will respond. The most important element of this passage may surprise you but it didn't for Daniel.
