So I Say...
Imagine this: joy that isn't tied to your circumstances, love that is deep and secure, true peace that passes all understanding. Too good to be true? Yes it is--at least on your own. Every believer knows the internal conflict between our natural human nature, leading to spiritual slavery, and countering the 'new creation' of the gospel. Salvation is not meant to just be eternal 'fire insurance' but a true heaven on earth, in our hearts.
In our passage today, the Apostle Paul challenges us with two extreme choices. One leads to legalism, devouring each other in conflict, and never coming to a full freedom with salvation. The other brings pure righteousness, peace and joy-but we have to fight for it. "Yet not I, but Christ".
Join us as we continue our series on the book of Galatians discovering more of the power of the Holy Spirit declaring with our spirit that in Christ we are children of God.
