Berean Bible Church has a strong commitment to youth ministry. Recognizing the special needs of our young people, we seek to maximize the impact of the Gospel in the spiritual and practical lives of our youth. The Youth Program of Berean Bible Church exists to disciple our youth through sound biblical teaching, applicable devotions, regular prayer, and practical, hands-on ministry opportunities to impact the world around them for Christ. Everything we do at Berean Bible Church revolves around these principles and our desire to grow deeper in our relationship with Jesus Christ. What students will encounter is a well-balanced ministry of one-on-one, small group and large group discipleship, and active ministry times. Rather than view the youth as the church of tomorrow, we believe that the youth are church of today. Carnivore Club This weekly Bible study is open to both junior and senior high students who desire to go a little deeper and "sink their teeth into the meat" of Scripture. As students dig deeper, they are challenged to develop and use critical thinking while exploring how the Scriptures are relevant in their daily lives. Come to the youth activities room Thursday nights from 700-8:30 for small group discussions that explore the deeper issues your faith! Extra Ministry Opportunities Students have a chance to take their spiritual faith to a place of physical reality as they serve the community in various capacities ranging from assistance in retirement villages to soup kitchens and food banks. When the rubber gets to meet the road, we find our students grow and excel in their understanding and in their walk with Christ. Fellowship Events One thing is for sure: Everybody likes to have fun! We believe that fellowship and fun are components to healthy relationships within both the church family and the home family. Opportunities exist throughout the year for all kinds of get-togethers to occur. Mission Trips and Training Our desire is to equip youth and adult leaders to be global-minded Christians with a desire to reach and to serve in the name of our Savior. Everything we do is designed to prepare the believer for active service in the field, whether domestic or foreign. We then provide the opportunity for the fruit of growth to plant new seeds. Outreach Having a heart for the Lord means we are committed to the things that He is committed to. God's heart for the lost is evident in Scripture, and is a key part of the ministry of our youth. Every component of the youth schedule is designed to be an inviting and non-threatening environment for unsaved friends to find the love of Christ being lived out in the lives of our youth and our leaders. Worship Team The Worship Team is an assembled group of students who use their various musical abilities, artistic talents and spiritual gifts to lead the youth in worship in the youth activities room during youth group and special events and retreats. Teens may be involved in such areas as music, sound, and PowerPoint, as well as poetry, photography and other visual arts, dance, mime, and different performance arts.
